Constitutional Law

A constitutional law is the set of laws that are based on a constitution that has been ratified, or a similar formative charters that outlines the fundamental guidelines by which the government exercise its authority. The laws usually define the functions and powers of the various branches of government and the fundamental rights of the citizens. The set of doctrines, rules and procedures that regulate the activities of political communities. The modern constitution is the result of nationalism, and of the notion that the state has to safeguard certain fundamental rights of an individual.
